Statement Of Intent
The reason why I chose to study visual effects was because ever since I was a kid I was fascinated with Marvel films and I always wondered how the effects were created. I also fell in love with editing videos at a young age, I started making YouTube videos with some friends during 2016 summer and this helped me get the into the right path of choosing media as a course at college, from there I got interested in visual effects again and I am glad I choose it as course for university, I want to be a Fx artist.
Photographers That Inspire Me
One of the people that inspire me about photography would be my friend, he has an Instagram account where he posts pictures of neon light signs, he loves travelling and taking pictures.
His Work:
Recently my friends and I started a business together, it consists of filming and editing music videos for clients. I started watching some YouTube videos about photography and camera gear as I got interested to find out more about cameras, the person that inspired me was a YouTuber named Matti Haapoja. The Youtuber posts about camera reviews and equipment, he also explains the best settings for video shooting and photography, and much more.
Week 2 - Camera Work
Exposure Triangle
The exposure triangle is made of three sides Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO. They work together to produce a photo that is properly exposed. If one variable changes, at least one of the others must also change to maintain the correct exposure.
Aperture
Aperture can be defined as the opening in a lens through which light passes to enter the camera. It is expressed in f-numbers like f/1.4, f/2, f/2.8 and so on to express the size of the lens opening, which can be controlled through the lens or the camera.

Week 5 - Briefs And Creating Stories
ASSIGNMENT 1 - STORYBOARD ('YOUR OWN PATH' BRIEF 4)
For my first assignment I chose 'Your own path' on the assignment brief as I thought it was what would of suited me the most. As my friend and I recently started recording music videos for people I decided to create a storyboard showing how our usual day is when filming for clients.
The music Artist chose the location and he gave us his own narrative for his music video, all we had to do is just record it and edit it. We went to Imperial Wharf and from there we scouted the area to look for good locations to film. Whilst doing this assignment I feel like I learnt a lot more about using a DSLR cameras, but for this particular storyboard I only focused more on the camera shots.
Travelling To Video Shoot Location
Introducing The Music Artist And Cameraman
Finding The Best Locations To Film In The Area
Setting Up Equipment
Taking Different Camera Shots Whilst My Friend Sets Up The Equipment
We Then Started Filming The Music Video
I then decided to take out the drone to get a birds eye view shot
Finished Shooting Music Video. Taking Cinematics and Leaving The Area
