Week 1
SKULL DRAWING
In this weeks lesson we looked at the structure and form of the human skull such as the placement of the Zygomatic Arch, we were given an exercise to label the human skull. We also compared male/female skulls and labelled the differences.
ZBRUSH
Sea Monster (Normal)
I used the move brush and standard brush to create this sea monster. It was my first time using Zbrush so I played around with the tools and I managed to create a monster.
Sea Monster (With Colour)
When I completed my sea monster I decided to add some texture, I went on YouTube and searched how to add texture to the object, I decided to go with green as I think its what suits it the most.

Week 2
Nose Features
In this lesson we learned about the anatomy of the nose and techniques of sculpting of the nose.
Zbrush 3 different noses
We were set to sculpt 3 different noses and use reference for our first human sculpting. I mostly used the standard and move tool to create the shapes of the noses as I found them tools the easiest to use. When I created the first nose I was struggling a bit but then I I got the hang of it.

Week 3
Mouth Features
In this lesson we learnt on the anatomy of the mouth and techniques of sculpting of the mouth.
Zbrush 3 different mouths
The mouth sculpting took me longer than the nose as I had to use more brush techniques, we also got introduced to a new brush which is called dam standard.

Week 4
Ear Anatomy
In this lesson we learnt on the anatomy of the ears and techniques of sculpting of the ears.
Zbrush 3 different Ears
To sculpt the ear we learned to mask the area were the ear is meant to be and then pulled it out to make the ear shape. We also got introduced to a new brush which is called clay build up, this brush is useful to sculpt surfaces using alphas.

Week 5 & 6
Eye Anatomy
In this lesson we learnt on the anatomy of the eyes and techniques of sculpting of the eyes.
Zbrush Eye
To sculpt an eye we had to duplicate two spheres, one that I chopped in half to create both eye lids and the other one to use as an eyeball. I then use the clay build up brush to create the surroundings of the eye (such as half the nose) and polish some areas to make them smooth. I then used the standard brush to make the iris and then finished it off my adding a pupil using RGB.

Week 7
Villain Idea
For my villain idea I will be basing it of cavemen, I am going to be creating it as detailed as I possibly can. The reason I chose this idea was because cavemen are to do with the human evolution.
Cavemen Skull
I will be using this image to help me create a similar face structure to my villain.
Week 8 & 9
Facial Fat & Neck
Within these two weeks we learnt about facial fat and the anatomy of the neck. For week 8 we learnt about poly painting and using spotlight in Zbrush.
Poly-painting
I poly-painted my villain by using the help of an article named 'color zones of the face', this helped me understand complexion.
As you can see from my villain I tried my best to follow the guide from this image
Spotlight
Spotlight is useful to paint your model with it in 3D. Spotlight is a projection texturing system which allows you to prepare your source texture directly in ZBrush.
For week 9 we learned to shape the neck and to add hair and clothing, we also learned to use IMM brushes. I didn't create any type of clothes for my villain, I only added some hair.
Week 10
Maya Workflow
Villain Development- Week 11,12 & 13
Finished Villain
This is my villain without any facs expressions.
Expressions Using Facs
In week 12 we learned how to make expressions using facs, the expressions I chose to do for my villain were Angry, sad, happy and scared.
FACS stands for Facial Action Coding System. FACS is facial muscle movements named action units (AUs), each action unit displays different expressions.
I have created my own expressions, I used layers on Zbrush to create them.
In week 13 we learned how to create an eye on Maya. Our teacher demonstrated how to create it in lesson. I didn't choose to make one in Maya as I wanted to use the techniques I learned in Zbrush week 5 & 6. I will show some Images below.
These are the textures our teacher used to create the eye
